ABOUT ME
Born in Madrid (Spain), Rosa began her carrier as singer in the folk group "Sabor Añejo" which won a first price in the folk music festival of Arosa resulting in the recording of her first record. She studied at the Madrid Conservatory of Music and at the Singing Higher School "Escuela Superior de Canto" in Madrid. As part of the choir in the National Theatre "La Zarzuela" performed together with Monserrat Caballé, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras among others. Rosa decided then to change her musical direction and was engaged in pop-rock and funky-jazz bands touring through Spain, where she discovered her love for all jazz-related musics. After arriving in Germany she took part in the "Jazz Fest München" with a latin-jazz formation. Afterwards Rosa joined as singer a dixieland band. At present Rosa is active in the Munich Latin & Jazz scene and sings as soloist with variable ensemble in different languages (english, german, french, spanish, portuguese, italian) jazz, swing, bebop, latin-jazz, bossanova, blues and chanson as well as latin rhythms (boleros, salsa, rumba, tango, cha-cha-cha, etc.) and spanish pop music. Rosa has participated in several recordings both in Spain and in Germany. Her first CD-Album "Demasiado Corazón" appeared December 2011 and a second CD "Undersigned: Jazz" was published on February 2013.
Rosa is also active as songwriter.
